writing a persuasive e-mail

To whom it may concern

The last day I was reading a notice on the newspaper, that said some schools are going to install security cameras and issuing students with electronic ID cards in their schools, but our school was against it. However, some students and I were discussing about it and we`re don’t agree with the decision taken. It’s inconceivable because our school needs to be up-to date.

There are infinite advantages of security cameras; I’m going to explain some of them.

First  they will prevent prohibited behavior , it’s improbable and impossible, that teachers and school administrations are paying attention in our behavior, in and outside the campus. The teachers and school administrations will see the behavior of us, like who is smoking or using drugs etc.. as long as our campus has surveillance cameras. I think it could be a practical way to see the behavior of us.

Second they will stop unwanted visitors:  we won’t never know the intention of people who is outside school. It’s probable they don’t have good intentions. Nowdays the insecurity is a big trouble, so our parents want the best for us, but if our parents don’t feel comfortable with the security of school,  they probable won’t want us to go to that school, unless our school has surveillance cameras.

Instead of electronic ID cards , we can use fingerprint readers. It will be so helpful to control who come in and out of the building. Also in case one person, student…etc.. is missing, the police could check the tape and see what happened.

Third they will save money:

Another  fact it’s money will save, instead of having a lot of security employees and pay them ,  you will pay less, provided that you have fewer employees that can visually patrol a large area when several cameras are in use. With the money you will save, it will be sufficient to fix our school.

With security cameras students and also parents are going to feel safe, cameras shouldn’t be allowed in areas of school where privacy is expected, such as restrooms and locker rooms.

The cameras will be installed in places where students congregate such as hallways, classrooms and cafeterias.

Since technology has had an advance you have a lot of options of security cameras such as: wireless security cameras, IP/network security cameras, dome security cameras, infrared security cameras..etc.. That’s incredible and you know what?  They`re cheaper if you buy of these options in security cameras, you will get fingerprint reader for free.
