Animals in captivity in zoos

Dear editor,

I completely disagree with zoos. They are used to have in captivity all kind of animals. These animals have to be in their natural habitat because they need to be with the wild, where they can grow up and learn how to survive.
But on the other hand, captivity by zoos could help to endangered species owing to nowdays, smugglers are highly dangerous for all of the animals. However, I think the zoos are like jails for animals, a lot of animals will get insane due to some of them are in cages.
Furthermore, humans aren’t experts on other animals’ diets. Therefore, this could caused bad nutrition and other damages to the animals. In spite of, they could be cared by their trainers, they could lose their natural instincts after not too much time in captivity.
Otherwise, breeding programs have not been effective, like in recently days, an endangered species of turtle called Geochelone Nigra abingdoni, the last of this species turtle lonely George died. In many years veterinaries tried to breed this turtle but they couldn`t do it, that’s so bad since this kind of turtle is not going to exist anymore. We still have time to do something about them.
